红烧鸡翅 / Red braised chicken wings¶

🥦Ingredients¶
Chicken wings (600 g -> 500 g)
Cooking oil (50 g)
🧂Seasoning¶
Ginger (15 g)
Star anise (1 count)
Sugar (8 g)
Shaoxing wine (50 g)
White pepper (½ tsp)
🔢Directions¶
In a measuring cup, mix soy sauce, sugar and shaoxing wine
In a wok, add cooking oil, ginger and star anise
When aromatic, add chicken wings and stir-fry until slightly brown
Add mixed sauce, white pepper and water until the chicken wings are fully covered
Reduce water until the sauce is sticky while stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes
Garnish with sesame seeds and green onion, then serve
