Make hard boiled eggs and peel #. Poke tiny holes with a skewer on each egg to vent steam #. Fry eggs in a pan with enough hot oil to submerge half of an egg until tiger skin is established #. Make caramel with cooking oil and sugar, then dilute with hot water #. Add spices and soy sauce, sugar, cooking wine and water to make sauce #. Cook eggs in sauce for 20 minutes #. Separate sauce and reduce, then coat eggs in sauce and serve
